FREE ONLINE DANCE

COMPOSITION WORKSHOP

FLDT is instituting an online educational program, open to everyone, and we hope you'll be able to join us for our FREE introductory class on the rudiments of dance composition. It will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5-6 pm Eastern Time on ZOOM. To register, please send us an email through our CONTACT page, and you'll be sent a ZOOM link prior to the event.

No previous dance experience is necessary, nor will you have to do anything that cannot be done sitting in a chair, watching a computer screen. We'll discuss the fundamentals of dance composition (symmetry & asymmetry, levels, dynamics, choreographic forms, etc.), and perform some fun and easy exercises with our hands to illustrate the various points being made. So come join us for an interesting hour that will make you think a little more about what goes into the works you see onstage.
